Crafted in the heart of Nara Prefecture, Japan’s renowned sock-making region, these women’s socks are made from 100% organic cotton and dyed using natural, eco-friendly dyes. Nara has a long-standing tradition in sock production, and these socks are a testament to the area's commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Each pair is slowly and carefully knitted on vintage, low-speed knitting machines that have been used since the early Showa era. This traditional manufacturing method preserves the integrity of the cotton and results in a soft, warm texture that feels truly unique — a quality you won’t find in mass-produced socks. Made from sustainable materials, these socks are breathable, durable and ultra-comfortable.

The Eco Loose Socks Gray

This soft, pale gray color is created using a natural dye extracted from bamboo charcoal. Bamboo charcoal is an organic, natural pigment that draws from one of nature’s most resilient materials. Revered for its vitality, it is said to grow as much as one meter in a single day, embodying a quiet strength and boundless energy.

For this piece, we selected Mōsō-chiku—a large, fast-growing bamboo native to China and now widely cultivated throughout southern Japan. By capturing the essence of this enduring plant, we’ve translated the strength and grace of bamboo into a subdued, elegant pair of socks. It’s a tribute to the beauty of tradition and the subtle power of natural materials.
